A cultural media platform for Rheinland-Pfalz

Yesterday it finally happened: a physical station for the cultural platform Kreuz-Rad-Löwe, which I designed with SCHUMACHER for the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, was unveiled at the Neues Museum. That's Berlin's currently most visited museum of the UNESCO World Heritage site Museumsinsel.

Fittingly, the opening was held not only by the director of Germany's largest cultural foundation (Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz) and the vice president of our university partner (Universität Mainz), but also by the Minister of Education of Rheinland-Pfalz. In his speech, Sven Teuber emphasized the role of culture and history, particularly in light of current political events.

That stuck with me. At SCHUMACHER we work for DAX 30 companies, for the public sector, and for science and culture alike. With our corporate clients we can usually move fast and point to hard numbers: brand awareness up, friction down, conversions up. Giving people access to culture and history doesn't work that way: You can't measure it the same way, but it matters just as much for how we understand society.

Which is exactly why I'm glad the Kreuz-Rad-Löwe media station will be on view at the Neues Museum for the next six months. Right next to Nefertiti and physical artifacts from Rheinland-Pfalz, visitors can now dig through the same objects and further exhibits and stories from RLP digitally too.

Come by and see it! Or explore the platform online.
